With over 6 billion people on the planet and only 365 (and a quarter) days in the year, it is inevitable that you have to share your birthday with a few others. Quite a few others in fact (approx. 16.5 million).
On these pages we've gathered just a few of your birth cohort and written, sometimes nice, things about some of them.
We've also scoured the known universe for some interesting things that happened on your birthday, thrown some trivia into the mix and then pretended to be quite serious with a small dose of astrology.
When we first started looking into all this it became apparent that nearly all the 'born/events on this day' type websites were American. There are some very famous Americans. There are also many people who are only famous in America.
Being based in Northern Europe we have mostly looked elsewhere for our 'people'.
It is also true that, when looking through history for important events, it can seem that our human development has been signposted largely by warfare and the stealing of land.
See one war, see them all. Not really the stuff to celebrate your birthday with. Besides, the invention of the Corn Flake (31st May), the release of 'Purple Haze' (26th August) and the creation of the world's longest sausage (29th April) are all far more useful endeavours.
If you register with us you can store all your friends' and family's birthday's. When their day comes round we will send out the card along with your message. Not only that, but you can set 'reminders' and get an email from us just to jog your memory.
Our e-cards are a bit clever. Instead of requiring someone to click on a link and log in to a website, the card goes directly to their email inbox. An optional link is provided so that they can go and see their birth cohort.
There are a couple of ways you can get a £15 gift voucher from us.
1. The monthly quiz - A cryptic teaser requiring an answer from our pages.
2. Submit some info - We might have missed someone or perhaps you could write about them in a more interesting way.
Our site is completely free to use. The pages contain links to Amazon gifts and we receive a small commission if you send someone a gift through our links. It costs you no extra.
Please use our Amazon links whenever you're doing any shopping. Anything we get will be purposefully used to develop the site even further. After all, there's just not enough silliness and trivia on the web!
Thanks for visiting, now go and check your birthday!
